Hello Wonderful Western State Students,

I am WhiteRoseLawGirl (legally D. (DeeDot) Smith),

a 2L & currently the President of PILF. 

 

What is PILF? 

The Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) is a student-run organization that supports and encourages WSU law students to pursue Public Interest Law through scholarships and information on working in unpaid summer internships in the public interest and public sector in order to encourage and enable them to pursue careers in the public interest and public sector upon graduation.

 

Article II of our ByLaws– Objectives and Purposes

 

§2.01 Generally: PILF exists to encourage students at Western State to incorporate Public Interest Law into their career. The organization, as a cohesive unit, will pursue networking and employment opportunities to increase the chances of its members to practice law within this field upon graduation.  

 

 

 

A few of the things we will be doing this year as we get back to face to face classes is build our group, plan benefits, and assist students in the above objectives through workshops with those working in their fields of interest & supplying internship scholarships for summer for Western State students.
